A small research projected is being conducted by CUS in association with National Institute of urban Affairs (NIUA), New Delhi, India. The one year research will systematically study the urbanization growth poverty interlinkages in Bangladesh to analyze whether these linkages are leading to or producing sustainable urbanization. The study is funded by a Grants from South Asia Network of Economic Research Institutes (SANEI) and coordinated by the SANEI secretariat at BIDS, Dhaka. Professor Nazrul Islam and Architect Salma A. Shafi are members of the CUS team in the study while Professor O.P Mathur and Dr. Dibyendu Samanta represent NIUA.
